1977 / '78 Star Wars 12 Back Long Header POP Display CAS 80+ NM:
Very rarely do these early relics surface from the dawn of the Kenner Star Wars line. Measuring approximately 36” x 12”, this magnificent point of purchase display was meant to accompany the very first wave of Star Wars 12 back mini action figures arriving at stores. Not only are the individual character depicted at actual size, but many are clearly early first shots that would see some refinement before seeing release to the public. The Vader, Ben and Jawa all clearly sport prototype capes; the Vader even appears to retain its Double Telescoping Lightsaber. Typically the very size of these long headers makes them very susceptible to veining or creasing; even warping, despite careful storage, but remarkably this example has surfaced without any such notable traits. On the front side some chafing does occur along the bottom edge with some light scuff occurring to the upper right corner. There is also a small ding located at the mid left edge. The back displays some similar edge chaff along with some peal marks lower mid left. Encapsulated by CAS for preservation and display this display has been authenticated and awarded a grade of 80+, the equivalent of NM. Will also come with a LOA from Rachfal Enterprises also guaranteeing authenticity. Ships direct from CAS.
